Trends I’m Loving
Trends, by definition, are basically things that are “in” now. But as we all know, some trends come back around (ie. flared jeans, chokers, etc.). How many of you have thought, “if I would’ve just kept ____ in my closet!” I know I’ve kicked myself a few times over shirts and dresses that I wish I would’ve kept! But anyways, here’s what I’m loving this season:
Stephanie (my middle sister) and I used to wear scrunchies ALL THE TIME up until the age of like 12. We had them in all colors, in houndstooth to match our school uniforms, you name it; we had it. When my youngest sister, Carol was born, the gymnastics scrunchies were plenty! Fast-forward about 15 years and it seems like they are in again. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, until I found myself at Walmart with a 6 pack of scrunchies in my cart. I guess I like scrunchies again? Note: currently wearing one as I’m writing this post.
This is in no way a “new” trend, but nevertheless, I’m still in love with it. Throwing on a pair of yoga pants or leggings and calling it athleisure (and a presentable outfit ok for the public) is how I roll. If I could, I’d wear yoga pants to work on the reg. Newest obsession to pair with athleisure: scrunchies and the Adidas I linked and am wearing in this post!
Hint: Stay tuned for one of my favorite athleisure looks coming to the blog soon!
There was a time where I never wore booties. The horror. I know. Now, booties are my go-to winter footwear option and basically all I wear! With our bipolar weather, it’s hard to commit to OTK boots (especially with my really, really short legs) or even knee-high boots when you know it’ll be 80 degrees by NOON. Long live the bootie trend! I’ve been known to pair them with boot socks like this (or even my husband’s dress socks in a pinch–seriously). P.S. I’ve linked some super cute ones from Target below! P.P.S Target is on their game this season!
I haven’t always loved BIG statement earrings. I don’t like heavy earrings and was afraid of them ripping my ear. I’m dramatic and usually more of a studs gal. However, ever since I put these earrings on, I’m changed. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my Kendra Scott studs, but statement earrings have a new place in my heart!
What trends are you loving this season?
