Maroon Dress for Fall + A Huge Announcement
Happy, happy Tuesday everyone! It’s been quite the week so far for me.
Yesterday, I woke up super cranky and missed my morning workout with the hubs in favor of forty more minutes of sleep. And, it was raining when I finally rolled out of bed. However, with the rain brought the best cool front ever to Southern Louisiana–it FINALLY feels a little like Fall! We are so close to having days and weeks without having to turn on our AC!
A few more things that helped turn my Monday around: our office Keurig was fixed (which means all of the coffee), I didn’t buy any extra snacks (budgeting is hard), I fit in a few minutes to shoot this super cute outfit…AND….
I WAS REFERRED/ACCEPTED TO THE LIKEtoKNOW.IT PROGRAM!
I got the email as I was leaving the gym after work and I literally screamed out loud! For those of you not familiar with LiketoKnow. It, if you sign up, you’ll be able to shop some of my favorite items straight from Instagram. I’ll also be using links throughout my blog–these are known as affiliate links. Meaning, when you click the link, I’ll make a small commission off of your click. If you buy something from that link I’ll also get a commission–YAY! I’ll try to disclose affiliate links for y’all so you know and don’t feel blindsided.
Ok, can we talk about this dress now? Almost everything that I wear is from TJ Maxx or things that I just don’t want to get rid of and have had for YEARS, from my favorite local boutique-Obsession, or borrowed from my mom and/or sisters. This dress falls into the latter category. I borrowed it from my mom (and she got it from TJ Maxx). I swear she has the best luck ever–she’s truly a Maxxinista.
This dress is so on trend–I mean the bell sleeves are everything. And it has pockets! With the weather cooperating yesterday, I knew I had to wear it and it will be a Fall staple (when it’s not in my mom’s closet!). I also don’t get a chance to break these shoes out either, but they went perfectly with the dress. And since it’s not too cold here yet, I figured I’d squeeze a few more wears out of them until next Spring/Summer.
