Favorite Halloween Movies
I’ve never really celebrated Halloween other than going to a few Fall Festivals when I was a tween and trick or treating as a child. And to be honest, Halloween scares the life out of me–which I guess is probably the point. I’m actually the biggest scaredy cat there is—complete with hands covering my eyes and ears. So this time of year, I like to fill my DVR and Netflix queue with some not so scary movies. Here are my picks:
And Halloweentown High–really all of them in the series. Although, the quality of these movies kind of goes downhill the more they make. But regardless, bring me all of the Disney Channel old school movies. (This includes Twitches and Twitches Too).
Ok. I know this is technically not a Halloween movies AT ALL. But, the theme song really freaks me out. Am I the only one who thinks it’s so creepy? Also, I’ve only made it to the second one, which is why it’s on my list of things to do this month.
A Classic. It took me until like three years ago to realize that the blonde witch was Sarah Jessica Parker (aka Carrie Bradshaw) which made me instantly like the movie more. I watch this movie every year.
This is one of my favorite NOT AT ALL SCARY movie. I mean it has “monsters” in the name so it makes the Halloween list automatically, but this is another classic for anytime of the year. If you need a stretch for it being “scary”, Mr. Waternoose is kind of sort of mean/scary at the end when his whole plan is being revealed.
I love this movie too and it’s not scary in the least bit. Along with Monsters Inc., it’s also a great pick for anytime of the year. But since it involves vampires and all sorts of monsters, I consider it a perfect fit for Halloween.
What movies will you be watching this Halloween?
