A Few of My Fall Favorite Things

Y’all. Today has felt the most like fall since the actual first day of Fall and since everyone else in the world started breaking out their jackets and sweaters. Hip hip hooray! And it’s the first time that I’ve even felt like mentioning anything Fall related on the blog. A day to celebrate, for sure. Here are a few of my favorite Fall things that I plan on fully indulging in this season:

Candy Corn. The candy that you either LOVE or HATE. I happen to absolutely love this candy–I also love the candy pumpkins! It also screams Fall to me and maybe that’s why I love it so much.

Plaid. Ok, so it may not be quite that time here in Louisiana, but I can’t wait to break out all of the long sleeve plaid shirts and sweaters! When the weather consistently stays out of the 90s, I’ll be the first to wear all of the Fall clothes.

Fall Decor.ย Ok so as of right now, all we have around the house is a pumpkin plate and a cotton wreath to decorate for Fall. However, I have my eye on this welcome rug and some pumpkins to scatter around!

Pumpkins. I may get judged HARD on this one, but I can’t stand the taste of “pumpkin.” Yep. That means no PSL, no pumpkin pie, or anything else remotely pumpkin flavored. Ick. However, I’m all for pumpkin shaped cookies and a good pumpkin aesthetic!

Crockpot Recipes.ย I’m trying to cook more at home this month (see my October goals here), I’m ALL about crockpot recipes. Follow me on Pinterest to see my full board of recipes! The red beans and rice recipe I made earlier this week was a HUGE hit with the oh so picky husband!

Love these! I bought a bag of pumpkins yesterday and thought about our obsession we had this time last year! Haha

  • The only pumpkin anything I like to eat is my husband’s pumpkin bread recipe, everything else I tend to avoid. But I do love this time of year!

The decorations are one of my favorite things about fall! I’m itching for more around my house. I’m also not a huge fan of pumpkin…I love pumpkin pie but stay away from basically anything else pumpkin flavored.

  • Ashley Stephenson

It isn’t quite plaid or sweater weather in NC either but I can’t wait! I don’t have much fall decor up yet either – but we are going pumpkin picking tonight!

  • YES TO THIS WHOLE LIST! Even though it’s Spring here in Australia, give me alllll the plaid, give me all the pumpkins. I’m having some serious Autumn withdrawals aha.
